Releasy

Terms of Service

Last Updated: January 18, 2026

1. About This Service

Releasy is a free Slack bot that helps teams manage software releases. By using Releasy, you agree to these terms.

Releasy helps you:

  • Compare branches across your repositories (Bitbucket, GitHub)
  • Get scheduled release reminders in Slack
  • Track Jira ticket status

2. Free Service

Releasy is currently completely free. There are no paid plans or subscriptions. If this changes in the future, existing users will be notified at least 30 days in advance.

3. How to Use Releasy

To use Releasy:

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You need permission to install apps in your Slack workspace
  • You'll connect your Git provider (Bitbucket/GitHub) through OAuth
  • You're responsible for keeping your account secure

4. What You Can't Do

Please don't:

  • Use Releasy for anything illegal
  • Try to hack, break, or reverse engineer the service
  • Abuse the service or spam it with excessive requests
  • Share your access tokens or credentials
  • Resell or redistribute Releasy

If you misuse the service, we may suspend or terminate your access without notice.

5. Your Data

Releasy accesses your repository data (commits, branches) and Slack information to provide the service. We:

  • DO NOT store your source code
  • DO NOT read your Slack messages
  • DO encrypt OAuth tokens with AES-256-GCM
  • DO only access what's needed to show release information

See our Privacy Policy for complete details.

6. Third-Party Services

Releasy connects to Slack, Bitbucket, GitHub, and Jira. These services have their own terms and policies. We're not responsible if they go down or change their APIs.

You can disconnect any integration at any time through that service's settings.

7. No Warranty (Important!)

Releasy is provided "as is" without any guarantees.

This means:

  • The service may have bugs or go down sometimes
  • We don't guarantee it will always work perfectly
  • We might make changes or shut it down in the future
  • You use it at your own risk

Since this is a free demo/beta service, please don't rely on it for critical production workflows yet.

8. Limitation of Liability

We're not liable for any damages from using Releasy.

This includes lost data, missed releases, or any problems that arise. Since the service is free, our total liability is limited to $0.

This might sound harsh, but it's standard for free services. We'll do our best to keep things running smoothly!

9. Stopping the Service

You can stop using Releasy anytime by uninstalling it from your Slack workspace.

We can stop providing service anytime by giving you notice (or immediately if you violate these terms).

When you uninstall, we'll delete your data according to our retention policy (typically within 30 days).

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know through Slack or email. Continuing to use Releasy means you accept the new terms.
